Biography
Dr. Fidele Masengo is a private practitioner. He is the former Secretary General of the Kigali International Arbitration Center (KIAC). Prior to joining KIAC, Dr. Fidele Masengo served as Deputy Chief of Party for a USAID-Chemonics Rwanda Land Project. He has also served as Head of Legal Department at Rwanda Utilities Regulation Agency and as Director of Administration of the Justice at the Rwandan Ministry of Justice. He currently serves on the Board of The African Arbitration Association (AfAA).

Dr Masengo is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and certified Mediator. His background in both arbitration and law in general, includes, serving as Arbitrator, Mediator, lecturer of International arbitration law, International Competition Law at various universities in Rwanda and East Africa. He is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association since 2006. He has served to the First Board of Director of Kigali International Arbitration Center since its establishment in January 2012 up to September 2017.

He has written articles, books. He has attended many Conferences as speaker.
