Directory of Members

A listing in the online  AfAA Directory of Members . The Directory lists members’ profiles, contact details, nationality, profession, languages spoken and areas of specialisation.  Members can search the online Directory of Members and send direct member-to-member messages.

Directory of African International Arbitrators

A free online listing on the AfAA's Directory of African International Arbitrators (DAIA).  The DAIA is a platform for African arbitrators with international arbitration experience or qualification.  The AfAA aims to address the perceived inadequacy or lack  of a pool of African international arbitrators through the DAIA platform by making African international arbitrators more visible and accessible.

AfAA News

Receipt of AfAA News, which includes reports from the Member’s activities, appointments, recent cases, recent developments, conference updates and notices.

Website access

Online access on the AfAA’s website to exclusive member-only content and resources such as conference materials, professional forums and online access to journal content as well as the ability to add your event to the Events Calendar.  Online access also allows members to manage their profile, membership and subscriptions.

Involvement in AfAA activities

All members are encouraged to be involved in AfAA's activities to promote arbitration throughout the African continent.  Opportunities for involvement, including promotional roles, lecturing and participation in committees, will be notified by the AfAA's Board of Directors to the Members from time to time.

Discounted Kluwer Arbitration Subscription Rates

The AfAA has partnered with Kluwer Law International ("Kluwer") to secure discounted subscription rates of their online International Arbitration Database  for AfAA members based in Africa.

Mentorship Programme

Members are able to mentor fellow AfAA members.  Mentors guide mentees for a six-month cycle.
