NOMINATION PROCESS |
Please note: a nominee can only be nominated in a maximum of three categories. The awards are open to arbitral institutions, initiatives, and dispute-resolution specialists, both individual and corporate. Please refer to the category eligibility criteria for more details. The deadline for nominations is: 5pm GMT+2, Friday 20th March 2020 Only entries via this nomination system will be considered. It is up to nominators to ensure contact details of those being nominated are correct. The organisers of the AfAA Awards reserve the right to: close a category should the quality of entrants be deemed insufficient; remove an entry if, in the opinion of the judges, the criteria have not been followed; or suggest another more appropriate category for a nominee. The Awards panel of judges will take into account nominator submissions, nominee submissions as well as third-party research, such as websites and social media. Nominations are to be accompanied by a brief detailed statement/profile explaining why the nominee is considered as meeting or exceeding the criteria for the award. This may be accompanied by relevant proof e.g. an article.
Individual practitioners may self-sponsor their nominations providing they meet the criteria for the award category.
All nominations will be screened by the AfAA Awards Committee and a shortlist of nominees forwarded to an independent expert panel of judges tasked with the ultimate responsibility of selecting Awardees.
Final decision on the presentation of the Awards rests with the Awards panel of judges.
